The Woolworths Facilities Management Service team operates around the country to support our stores, including performing day to day service and maintenance efficiently and with minimum disruption to our stores and customers.

At Woolworths, we strive to be at the forefront of refrigeration and HVAC technologies. Woolworths HVAC technicians will be required to operate and service the following equipment:

  • Hydronic Systems - Heat pumps and Chillers (i.e. Climaveneta & Bluebox)
  • Built Up DX Plant - Reciprocating & Screw Compressor Sets (i.e. Bitzer & Copeland)
  • Package Units with dehumidification (i.e Actron & Temperzone)
  • Variable Refrigerant Systems (i.e. Daikin & Mitsubishi)
  • Gas Hot Water Heaters/Boilers (i.e Raypak & Meridian)
  • BMS Control Systems (i.e Emerson & RDM)

This role will provide exposure to the latest supermarket HVAC systems and provide opportunities to further develop your skills. We also provide our team members with the latest product training via our relationships with industry-leading partners.
 

The Role

In the role, your responsibilities will be:

  • Complete all Preventative Maintenance in a timely and professional manner to ensure that Woolworths and our associated partners meet all statutory and lease requirements
  • Proactively look for potential sources of refrigerant gas leaks in order to reduce refrigerant usage
  • Reduce average reactive call volume per store/month below agreed target
  • Control and reduce costs (labour, materials, subcontractors) against store budget
  • Ensure equipment is operating effectively and efficiently to minimise disruption to stores and customers
  • Achieve service response times as per business rules
  • Meet energy saving targets as agreed with key stakeholders
  • Maintain and update Asset registers

Woolworths HVAC technicians will be required to attend annual essential service system interface testing (SIT)

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about going the extra mile for our stores and customers.

The suitable candidate will have:

  • Relevant Trade qualifications 
  • Emerson & RDM controls advantageous
  • Flexibility to travel to various sites and to be on call as required (rostered system)
  • An ability to self manage tasks as required
  • A good level of computer literacy (Google suite of Apps an advantage)
  • The ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge in essential service testing of mechanical equipment
