Heat and Control Pty Ltd is an award winning, world-class leading manufacturer of Food Processing Systems and Packaging Equipment with a worldwide export market and affiliations. The Brisbane facility is the Head Office for Australia, SE Asia, India, China, Europe, UK and Africa operations.

A long-term opportunity exists for several Trade Qualified First-Class Sheet Metal Workers, having experience with stainless steel fabrication preferably in a role related to customised food processing equipment.

About the role:

  • Perform all sheet metal work related activities to the required quality, within the allocated time frame to ensure on time delivery.
  • Recommend changes to engineering specifications/drawings to continuously improve quality, delivery, and cost specifications.
  • To read and interpret technical drawings correctly.
  • Fabricate parts using trade skills from the specification in technical drawings.
  • To operate sheet metal related plant and equipment.

About you:

To be successful in this role you MUST possess the following:

  • Completion of trade qualifications as a first-class Sheet Metal Worker.
  • Previous experience with fabricating stainless steel food processing equipment and systems.
  • Excellent TIG and MIG welding skills.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings accurately.
  • Experience fabricating parts using trade skills from specifications in technical drawings.
  • Experience with operating sheetmetal related plant and equipment safely.
  • An understanding of equipment technical specifications and application to processing systems.
  • Well-developed planning and organization skills.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain excellent customer relationships.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and “can do” attitude.

There are 10 positions available due to growth of the business. Employment is on a casual basis, working full time hours under our Enterprise Agreement, in a workshop environment manufacturing machinery products for the food processing industry.

Overtime is available with the possibility of permanent employment for the right candidates.
