We have a number of positions available for an enthusiastic people looking to start or continue their cabinet making apprenticeship in the Mount Gambier area.

Successful candidates will be employed full time, be paid award wages and receive training in a Certificate III Carpentry.

If the idea of working with your hands, building structures, and working on construction sites appeals to you, a cabinet making apprenticeship ticks all the right boxes. You will get the opportunity to work alongside professional tradespeople and you will learn all aspects of the cabinet making industry. You will also receive dedicated support from HIA Apprentices in all aspects of your training and employment.

The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Have a great attitude towards work, self-motivated, proactive and willing to learn
  • Be punctual, reliable and hardworking
  • Be committed to finishing their apprenticeship and become a fully qualified cabinetmaker
  • Be a team player
  • Have an attention to detail
  • Must have a driver’s license or reliable transport
  • CI Card (White Card) (or be willing to obtain prior to starting)
