We currently have an opportunity for Traction Linepersons to join our Queensland Rail Network SEQ team in Brisbane. This area delivers infrastructure services, construction, maintenance, asset management and development across 700 kilometres of track around South East Queensland, which stretches from Varsity Lakes in the South to Gympie in the North and from Moreton Bay in the East and inland to Rosewood in the west.

To be considered for this position you will have

  • Sound knowledge of all types of overhead traction line equipment and their relevant maintenance and installation standards.
  • Sound level of skill in the installation, repair and maintenance of overhead line equipment to predetermined standards and procedures.
  • Sound knowledge of high voltage safe working practices and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of WH&S Act and relevant Queensland Rail safety policies and procedures.

  • In addition you must also have:

  • Current Queensland Electrical Linesperson licence;
  • Current CPR Qualification (12 months);

  • Rosters operate across a 2 week cycle, with shifts scheduled days, nights and on weekends during weekend track closures.
    Salary starts at approx. $91k plus a generous superannuation scheme plus allowances and overtime where applicable.
