We are an Australian owned franchise seeking a full-time qualified light vehicle mechanic to join our busy workshop located in Altona. We offer a complete range of car servicing options, designed to suit most vehicle types specialising in vehicle maintenance. Our highly trained technicians are focussed on just servicing cars giving our clients the flexibility of having their cars serviced when they need it done. The successful applicant must be a qualified Motor Mechanic and can work in a team environment and some knowledge of auto-electrical work would be an advantage. You must be hard working with a focus on quality, have your own tools, be able to demonstrate an excellent attention to detail and have a good work ethic. Experience in all makes and models will be an advantage. To apply for this role, you must be a fully qualified, have a full driver’s licence, have up to date scan tool knowledge, reliable, punctual and worked as a light vehicle mechanic for at least 3 years and be able to start immediately. We are offering $55K – $60K

You will be required to;

  • service and repairs to all makes and models
  • diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs and rectify
  • service checks and reporting of any defects found to management
  • road testing of vehicles before and after service and repairs
  • have proven ability in vehicle electrical systems and fault diagnostics
  • have proven ability in pneumatic and hydraulic systems diagnostics and repair
  • have the ability to detect and diagnose faults in engines and parts
  • repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components
  • perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
  • test and adjust mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
  • diagnose and test parts with the assistance of computers
  • work unsupervised
  • have good time management and organisation skills
  • excellent customer service skills
