Spotless is the Facility Manager at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH), providing 15 service functions in support of the day-to-day operations. The RAH is the largest, busiest and most technologically advanced hospital in Australia with 800 single in-patient rooms, including 100 same-day beds and 80,000 same-day and overnight patient admissions per year.

About The Role

The position of Electrical Supervisor will oversee and supervise the completion of work performed by the Electrical Maintenance Team to ensure the delivery of high quality trades service to meet contractual requirements. The role is further responsible for timely reporting, technical support, CoC completion, legislative compliance and ensuring a safe working environment for colleagues, customers, and the public which will require the application of electrical trade skills in a manner consistent with the high standards expected by our client.

The successful candidate will be willing to work flexible hours and hold the ability to manage their own time, and the time of others, in order to meet deadlines. As part of this role, you will be required to allocate and ensure on time closure of all reactive and preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with the PPM program.

To be successful in this role, you will hold the below:

  • Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role is required
  • Current SA ‘A’ Class Electrical License
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working as qualified trades person
  • Current low voltage rescue and First Aid/CPR certificate
  • Occupational Health and Safety Construction Induction (White Card)
  • Demonstrated experience in Building Management Systems and HV systems
  • Strong knowledge of Work Health Safety and risk management principles/practices and current industry standard relevant to Trades Services operations
  • Customer/client service and care focused with the ability to action improvements based on customer feedback
  • Able to encourage a positive team culture and relationships with team reports
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Demonstrates consistency, reliability and punctuality
