Job description:
Role Purpose

The position of Maintenance Supervisor is to maximise plant operation availability by the operational integrity of the plant and equipment in order to achieve production targets in accordance with the RNO maintenance strategy.
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you shall be responsible for provided the highest quality services undertaking preventive maintenance, corrective, emergency and refurbishment work and supervision as required whilst on duty.

Key Accountabilities
Direct Management of Maintenance Work Team
Promote the development of sound engineering and maintenance practices
Maintain high levels of team morale and work ethic
Dedicated commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibilities
Ensure compliance with Safety and Environmental Management systems, policies and procedures along with ensuring that all risks have been identified, managed and a safe working environment is maintained
Actively lead by example and contribute to improvements in safety culture and processes to ensure ongoing, practical improvements in safe work practices.
Ensure that you conduct yourself with the utmost respect for the company and all fellow employees at all times.
Ensure that all safety incidents and hazards are correctly documented and followed up in the required timeframes and of good quality.
Ensure Compliance to completion of all pre start checks on mobile equipment/vehicles, welders, lifting equipment, overhead cranes etc. This includes the correct documentation to be completed and delivered to the required location.
Ensure Shift changes over meetings are held at the start of every shift and provide quality information and direction to the oncoming shift personnel. Also requires documenting.
Ensure that all Team communication is open and each person understands what they have to do and what they are responsible for.
Provide accurate feedback so that appropriate and corrective action and planning can be implemented
A clear understanding of preventative maintenance, planning, strong communication skills and a flexible ‘can do’ approach to work
Promote continuous improvement and accept challenges as they arise
Ensure that maintenance objectives are effectively communicated to optimize plant availability
Ensured a structured Maintenance System is understood and complied with by the work team to achieve KPI targets.
Ensure that all critical issues are highlighted and communicated to the Maintenance Superintendent, Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, Operations Superintendent so they can be captured in the next available maintenance plan.
Regularly inspect the work area and work groups to identify defects before they impact on the plant uptime.

Site infrastructure, camp & town housing maintenance
Potable water & bore field systems on site
Waste water treatment plant
Tailings dams mechanical maintenance
Site fire water systems
Roads, culverts & drainage on site
LV workshop maintenance
Site air conditioning
Site crane scheduling
Site scaffolding scheduling

Skills, knowledge & Experience:
Prior proven experience in leading and supervising work teams
Completion of Section 44 ( Appointed Persons)
Self-motivated and conscientious
understanding and ability to operate Pronto at the Supervisor Level
Ability to read, understand and interpret mechanical drawings
Hands on and able to assist Mechanical Technician when needed
Ability to work with others and achieve objectives
Commitment to continuous improvement
Problem solving and analytical skills
Time management and ensuring quality service
Good verbal and communication skills
