EOI CONSTRUCTION CREW | Riggers, Doggers, Crane Drivers, Fitters, Trades Assistants

About the Role:
Sun Engineering is currently seeking expressions of interest in the following positions for a mine expansion construction project outside of Townsville, Queensland:

Riggers and Doggers
Crane operators
Mechanical Fitters
Trades Assistants

There are approximately 40 positions to be filled from the above listed roles.

This project has already commenced and is steadily ramping up. Initial interviews and the commencement of the onboarding process for applicants will commence over at least the next 4-6 weeks. Successful applicants may expect to be deployed to the project no sooner than the middle of July, however the gradual onboarding for successful applicants may continue through until August.

Sun Engineering will give first preference to locals from around the Townsville region to work on a Drive In, Drive Out basis, and any labour gaps will be filled with FIFO personnel as necessary.

The project roster is 11 days on, 3 days off - DIDO and FIFO positions will stay in work camp during deployment unless local to the immediate region.

Applicants must have:
Must have Construction Induction Card (White Card) - must have physical card
Crane operators, Riggers and Dogggers to hold relevant in date High Risk Work Licenses
Further supporting High Risk Work Licenses highly beneficial for all positions

RII qualifications all highly beneficial:
Working at Heights Safely
Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
Conduct Telescopic Materials Handler Operations
First Aid qualifications beneficial
EWP Yellow card beneficial

Tradespersons and Riggers must be prepared to bring their own basic hand tools, including measuring and marking out tools for tradies.

Applicants will be required to provide good quality digital copies of all licences, qualifications, certificates and Driver’s License via email when requested.

Applicants must be prepared to undergo a mine site level medical examination in their own time prior to deployment, including a general medical screening, a functional capacity examination, drug and alcohol screening and a chest X-ray.

Additional Information:
Rates of pay as follows (all rates displayed including casual loading):

Doggers: $46 per hour

Riggers: $46 to $48 per hour depending on license level

Crane Operators: $46 to $51 per hour depending on license level

Fitters: $51 per hour

Trades Assistants: $39 to $46 depending on various tickets and qualifications held

Plenty of overtime available, working 10 hours daily Monday to Sunday over 11 & 3 roster.
