JOB DESCRIPTION

Take your career to new heights with an Arboriculture Apprenticeship. Entry level position into a specialised industry.

Joining a Landscape & Gardening team based out of Slacks Creek, the successful candidate will complete a 3 Year Apprenticeship to become a qualified Arborist. Servicing from South Brisbane to the Gold Coast, this role encompasses a range of duties including shaping and canopy management, tree health and remediation, environmental development as well as tree dismantling and removal.

Established in 2000, with a team of horticulturalists, arborists, landscape architects - this is a unique opportunity for a focused and dedicated individual to gain invaluable exposure to an ever-growing industry.

About the Role:

  • 3 Year Apprenticeship, with a Nationally recognised Certificate III in Arboriculture upon completion
  • Learn to inspect trees, perform ground based rigging and tree removal
  • Identify trees and implement maintenance programs
  • Prune, trim and cut felled trees
  • This is a full time role, paid at award right

About You:

  • Hold a valid Queensland drivers licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Passionate about a career in the Horticulture industry
  • Highly safety conscious at all times
  • Hold a valid White Card
  • Strong communication and team work skills

Non-Essential Skills:

  • Certificate II Horticulture
  • Certificate I Conservation and Land Management
  • Chainsaw ticket highly regarded
