Certificate III Meat Processing

Murray Mallee Training Company together with Bundarra Berkshires Free Range Pork are looking for a highly motivated apprentice butcher to complete a Certificate III in Meat Processing based in Barham, with the option to also complete a Certificate III in Small Foods Manufacturing.

This is the opportunity to establish a career as a qualified butcher with a business that delivers quality meat to their local community. 

The successful applicant will be mentored throughout their apprenticeship and will obtain a Nationally Recognised Qualification.

Key responsibilities and roles;

  • Cut, trim and shape standard cuts of meat to size.
  • Pack and store products for display and sale.
  • Assemble and operate mincers, grinders and sausage forming machines.
  • Prepare cuts and carry out salting of meats.
  • Cleaning workspace and retail areas.
  • Prepare ingredients and cooked products
