Full Job Description
Are you a team player who has mechanical aptitude and loves working with their hands? Do you love heavy machinery and equipment and find yourself pulling things apart to see how they work? If you like early starts and have a natural eye for detail, this apprenticeship could be for you!

Undertaking this four-year apprenticeship with a global engineering company that operates within the mining and cement industries will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Mechanical Fitter and earn your Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (MEM30205).

You will learn the ins and outs of fitting and assembling metal parts, tools or sub-assemblies, including welding and will also be taught how to set up and operate hand and machine tools and be shown how to examine detailed drawings and specifications.

This position is located in Pinkenba, Brisbane and offers market-leading engineering, equipment and service solutions within a large & successful, safety-focussed, culturally diverse employer that actively advocates for local Indigenous Australians and women in trades.


We are searching for a mechanically minded individual who is looking to take their engineering career to the next step. You will enjoy practical work, have a knack for working out problems with your hands, and be ready to ask questions if you’re stuck on a task. Must haves: Driver’s license and own transport. Thirst for knowledge and learning new skills The ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing.
