Safety Manager

Our client prides themselves on working with their clients as a true construction partner. Due to a large pipeline of upcoming projects to be tendered in their Townsville office, a need has arisen for a Safety Manager to join the team and drive future business growth.

Workplace Health & Safety Manager responsibilities, ideally within the commercial construction industry context, ideally within a Tier 2 construction company

The Role
This role will suit/appeal to an established safety professional with a genuine desire to be both hands on and more strategic. If you are looking for a dynamic and challenging role, this could be the one for you!

For this role you need to be:
Diploma of Workplace Health & Safety qualified as a minimum
3+ years’ experience in managing safety responsibilities within the commercial construction context
have some environmental management experience
experience in managing personnel as there are two safety Officers who report to this role
possess High Risk licences, a Cert in Training & Assessment and have some audit experience (these are all Desirable)
energetic, positive, can add value to an already established strong culture and keen for an opportunity to grow your capabilities
you will be one of those people who is ‘happy to have a crack’, will not be shy about asking for help and will have a keen eye for detail
you will pride yourself on your strong organisational, reporting and communications skills.
