JOB DESCRIPTION

Why choose Glencore’s North Queensland Indigenous Employment Program?

We offer Indigenous Australians a pathway from the community to our operations through a fully-supported Indigenous Employment Program. We are seeking expressions of interest for ethusiastic and dedicated Indigenous persons who are looking for that next opportunity in either Mount Isa or Cloncurry. Applicant details will be kept on file and reviewed ongoing for current and future programs.

Our program provides a work-readiness component and entry-level operational skills for the participants as well as tailored personal development. Participants receive ongoing support through each stage of the program, including mentorship from fellow Indigenous workers.

The Program is designed to allow participants to take ownership and responsibility, ultimately working towards securing sustainable employment. Upon completion of the program, participants may be selected to progress into full-time employment within the resources industry; either within our company, or with one of our contracting partner organisations.

TYPICAL DUTIES
As a participant in our Indigenous Employment Program, some of the duties you may be required to perform, include:
