RACV’s Technology Team is accountable for our cyber security. Our mission is to facilitate protection of RACV’s data and the systems that are used to serve members.

We’re looking for someone who’s ready to use, manage and own various security platforms and products ensuring controls are maintained and effective and monitoring outputs of controls and investigate indicators of compromise.


A day in the life


As Cyber Security Operations Engineer reporting to the Cyber Security Operations Lead, you’ll take on a range of responsibilities within our Cyber Security Team that support the wider team deliver against our strategic objectives.

You’ll undertake the day-to-day cyber security operational activities including co-ordinating cyber security incident investigation and response; cyber security technical assurance services whilst driving continuous improvement within the cyber security operations space.

This will involve building effective working relationships across the business with key stakeholders and engaging with external service providers whilst representing RACV in a professional manner.

As part of this process, we’ll help you grow your knowledge of customer experience and stakeholder relations in an industry-leading environment.

We’re looking for…


  • 2-5years’ experience in cyber/information security or related field
  • Tertiary qualification in an IT related field
  • Working knowledge of industry good practise including NIST CSF, OWASP, PCI DSS, ISO27001/2, ASD Mitigation Strategies
  • Industry certification in the security field is desirable – e.g. CISSP, CompTIA Security+, GSEC, CEH, OSCP
  • Working knowledge of ITIL aligned service delivery processes
  • A natural relationship builder, lateral thinker
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced unstructured customer-centric environment and deliver immediate value.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • A natural collaborator with internal departments; and external third-party vendors.
