$65-70k + super + phone

Southern Cross Industrial Supplies has established itself as a specialised supplier of premium welding equipment, consumables & industrial gases to the Australian welding industry. SCIS services customers ranging from major engineering and fabrication companies, the mining industry, government departments, small engineering workshops, the automotive industry & rural sector.

In your new role you will:

  • Install, examine, test, service, maintain and repair welding and cutting machinery and equipment; make adjustments and replace worn and defective parts. 
  • Provide exceptional customer service including demonstration, training, hands on instruction of correct operating procedures, prevention on malfunction, calibration, trouble-shooting and streamlining systems. 
  • Read, interpret and execute drawings, schematics and electrical code specifications to welding machines and equipment
  • Complete and maintain detailed records and service reports; create, maintain and update technical literature and operating procedures, interpret code.

You will have:

  • A relevant qualification and 10 years’ experience with welding processes, fault diagnosis and equipment, including some automation. 
  • Analytical problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills with a sound knowledge of industry and safety standards.
  • Professional appearance and excellent communication skills; ability to work autonomously and as part of the team. 
  • Competency with MS Office suite
