JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently hiring a Mobile Maintenance Supervisor for the Boral Stonyfell workshop. The Stonyfell Workshop Services HME equipment for metro and regional quarries and concrete plants.

The Stonyfell Workshop has a fully equipped centralised workshop to service HME.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring a safe work environment for the employee using the Boral Safe Systems of Work
  • The running of the HME Workshop on day to day basis
  • Weekly planning of field service work for metro/regional Quarries and Concrete plants
  • Arranging subcontractors to complete servicing and repairs as required
  • Managing contractors and employees and ensuring that compliance around legislation is managed and implemented
  • Scheduling preventative maintenance activities in conjunction with site managers
  • Sourcing OEM and aftermarket parts for servicing and repairs
  • Ensuring that environmental issues are reported and managed as per the sites Environmental plan
  • Reporting & estimating cost using the Boral maintenance system (Maximo) to ensure mobile plant maintenance is carried out
  • Manage stock inventory and liaise with internal and external customers
  • Planning & quoting major component rebuilds (with help and training from the Maintenance Manager)
  • Lead and implement LEAN initiatives (with help and training from the Maintenance Manager)
  • Reporting all hazards and incidents to the one up manager within the specified time limit

To be considered for this role, you must have the following experience and attributes:

  • An uncompromising commitment to safety
  • Trade certificate- Heavy Diesel Mechanic
  • Previous experience in supervising and running an HME workshop
  • Cert IV frontline management- (Preferred, but not essential)
  • Proven ability and experience in supervising
  • Strong people skills and communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
