 We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Electrical & Instrument Trades Worker (Special Class) to join our high performing service team on a full-time basis. You will be an integral part of the team working on various control and electrical projects focused on machine throughput and reliability.

 Reporting to the Principal Engineer, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Job requirements –

• Application engineering of logic control systems.
• Assist in design and application and development of electrical/electronic systems.
• Examine and test machines, equipment, instruments and control systems to diagnose faults.
• Adjust, repair and replace work and defective parts and wiring, maintain machines, equipment and instruments.
• Reassemble, test and adjust equipment.
• Receive messages by interpreting code and convert to plain language, writing and typing messages for transmission. 
• Apply new software designs to machine tools and other machinery.
• Manage machine software changes enquire through stage installation and site commissioning as well as function specification through continuous improvement process.
• Design electrical systems through CAD.
• Maintenance of existing drawings, technical specifications, work instructions, technical manuals.
• Provide training to operators on new automation systems and on correct operation procedures to prevent malfunctions.
• Support for Maintenance crew in breakdowns.

 Key requirements/Qualifications –

• Trade qualification in Electrical (A Grade Electrical License)
• Cert III or IV Instrumentation
• Certificate of Attainment - HV Operator Training
• Licenses - High Risk EWP, WAH, Confined Spaces
• Demonstrated knowledge, experience and understanding of process plant equipment
• Proven aptitude towards applying knowledge in an Electrical/Instrument field to arrive at practical and sustainable solutions
• Proven experience in HV distribution and apparatus
• Demonstrated ability to undertake problem solving investigations and reviews
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
•  Solid understanding of Automation systems
• Understanding of motion control
• Safety technology and electrical Standards
• Computer literate
• CAD Design systems (AUTOCAD,EPLAN)
• Must have all relevant licenses to work at West Australian and Australian Standards

 Technicians who have previous technical experience working on electrical on the below equipment would be highly regarded:

• Siemens Control systems Simatic S7 and Sinumerik 8xxD
• CNC systems Siemens, Fanuc
• AC/DC servo systems
• Robotic systems
