Baker\French Bakery Full time role in Maroubra Salary: K$60 – K$70 + super
Key RESPONSIBILITIES: · Designing and improving recipes. · Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods. · Prepare dough by hand or using dough mixers · Monitor the fermentation process · Bread shaping by hand techniques compulsory, (French technique as it is a French bakery) · Monitoring baking process (heat, humidity etc) · Decorating and displaying finished products · Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls. · Greeting customers, answering questions, making recommendations, accepting orders and payments, and providing exceptional customer service. · Manage stocks and order new supplies on prevision to future production · Keeping records relating to deliveries, inventory, and production levels. Other: - Excellent verbal and written communication in French & English (French knowledge is preferred ) - Organised and able to meet deadlines - Autonomous, punctual, dynamic and rigorous - Able to manage and train the apprentices or new colleagues - Be able to work fast and under pressure. Performance goals: - Complete the Bakery production on time - Deal/ Welcome customers, suppliers and other employees professionally at all times - Ensure that the Food Safety Standards & OHS standards are respected - Ensure the bakery is clean and presentable at all times.
KEY REQUIREMENTS: Education / Qualifications: - Artisan Baker NDQ Certificate (minimum) - Artisan Baker Complementary mention (desirable) - Artisan Pastry NDQ Certificate (minimum) Experience: - Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role - Minimum of 3 years previous apprentice
