DMI Excavations is looking to hire an experienced Fitter in the Sydney region. Applicants are expected to have a minimum of 3 years experience working as a fitter in order to be deemed suitable. This is a full time position with annual remuneration of $70,000 - $95,000 (negotiable) on offer.

Job Duties:

• Servicing and maintaining heavy equipment such as excavators (track and wheeled) and a range of attachments
• Diagnose, overhaul, repair, tune, maintain and test diesel powered vehicles including trucks and earthmoving equipment, tractors, stationary engines (e.g. generators, pumps, compressors and excavator attachments.
• Full services on a range of equipment, changing seals on rams, re-bushing replacing pins
• Repair and maintain the Hydraulic components that are used to power attachments such as hoists, booms, hammer, buckets and augers.
• Changing tracts and track motors, replacing hydraulic hoses also maintaining and servicing on a range of work vehicles.
• Use oxy, electric TIG and MIG welding, hand fitting or machinery processes to replace or repair faulty parts.
• Must be computer literate to record and document scheduled services, maintenance and repair records on a PC using Excel and Word (windows 10)

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Fitter
• Demonstrate a high level of engineering & hydraulic technical knowledge with confidence to work independently
• Excellent attention to OH&S
• Enjoy practical and manual work
• Mechanical aptitude
• Fluency in English
• Competency in reading, writing and mathematics.
• Strong work ethic & pride in workmanship
• Drivers licence & own transport
• Must agree to carry out and pass a Fit for Work medical, drug and alcohol test.
