Blind and Awning Fitter Installer

Kawana Blinds is an established window furnishings business. Our specialties are Blinds, Shutters and Awnings. We manufacture roller blinds and some awnings at our Warana Sunshine Coast factory and install a range of products for the home as well as undertaking repairs.

We require a fitter installer who has a passion for attention to detail, customer satisfaction and pride of work. You will have on the job training to learn our requirements and achieve them.

You must have experience at installing window furnishings of some type as we want you to hit the ground running.

Ideally you will live no more than 45min by car from our factory. Candidates that live further than that may still apply.

Hours are normally Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.00pm and 8.00am to 3.00pm Friday. The successful candidate will be expected to be flexible on the occasions when the jobs need to be finished that day.

About the role:

Our ideal candidate should have previous industry experience and be able to install and manufacture some or all of the following products.

  • Blinds - internal and external
  • Awnings including Ziptrak and Zipscreen
  • Security screens
  • Plantation shutters
  • Retractable screens
  • Roller shutters
  • Blind and awning motorisation including programming

Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to problem solve

  • Experience in using relevant industry tools with confidence and Safe work practices
  • Monday to Friday

  • assist in manufacturing as required
  • manage disposal of old blinds and awnings
  • perform servicing, check measures and maintenance works on various products

A position for a Contractor/ Contract Fitter may be considered. Contractors are invited to supply an offer of services as either hourly rate or for a per item rate.
