Reliability Maintenance Planner

Job no: 502844
Work type: Full Time
Location: Melbourne - North

At Visy, our people make us stand out from the crowd. We’re always seeking solutions, opportunities and possibilities. We look for people who see what’s ahead and run towards it. These people are helping us to achieve our vision to become the global leader in sustainable packaging solutions. Together, we can create a better world.

The opportunity:

Our Pulp & Paper division is where the magic begins in the world of sustainability, creating recycled paper from recycled products.

We have 3 Paper Mills in Melbourne, with this role based in one of those Mills conveniently located in Melbourne’s Northern Suburbs, Campbellfield.

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone passionate about Reliability Excellence who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-orientated environment.

The Role:

As the Reliability Planner, you will have an already set-up and functioning Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to help you hit the ground running, an on-site warehouse of spare parts (better than a Bunnings trip!), and an experienced maintenance and engineering team to work with and co-ordinate.

Your strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure will suit this fast-paced environment. And your attitude where no job is too small, passion to learn new skills, and ability to lead by example, will fit right into the team.

Reporting to the Reliability Manager, your key outcomes will be to;

  • Improve asset reliability and performance through your understanding and implementation of maintenance best practice, maintenance systems and computerised asset management tools.
  • Successfully plan & schedule weekly preventative maintenance activities, monthly shut-downs, and project work across the plant using your exceptional organizational skills.
  • Supervise, delegate and co-ordinate responsibilities to Maintenance contractors, ensuring they are carrying out works safely.
  • Effectively communicate with production personnel on a daily basis for the safe and efficient maintenance of the mill and all associated equipment.
  • Support the mechanical equipment spares & repair management.

What you will bring to the team:

  • A qualification in engineering or accomplished trade background.
  • Pulp & Paper industry experience highly regarded, but not mandatory.
  • Alternatively, exposure to a 24/7 manufacturing or processing environment would be an ideal fit
  • You possess a high level of self-motivation and you are not afraid of a challenge and being accountable.
  • Flexibility for on-call (rostered)

When you join Visy, you’re joining a global leader dedicated to making serious progress in the sustainable packaging and recycling industries. We want to find solutions, make an impact and grow our business. If you can help us, you’ll fit right in. There’s never been a better time to join Visy!

Please contact Sarah Cranby on 0499 995 174 for a confidential discussion, or apply now.

You will be required to meet Visy’s employment criteria which will include a criminal history check and pre-employment medical (including drug & alcohol testing).

Visy is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.
