JOB DESCRIPTION

The role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Ship Repair Assistant located in our Balmain Shipyard. Reporting to the production manager, you will assist our qualified tradespeople in looking after a fleet of over 30 different vessels (no two days will be the same). Your main duties will include the routine maintenance of equipment, and across the fleet as well as ensure the works are completed safely and within expected time constraints.

What you bring

We are looking for individuals who preferably have relevant certifications (i.e. working at height, working in confined space, elevator work platform, etc..) and ideally similar experiences working with water vessels. What will however make you stand out from others are your strong willingness to develop a long-term trade career, passion for the industry, and not afraid of hands-on tasks regardless of their size.
