Are you looking to commence your Fitting & Turning/ Maintenance Fitter Apprenticeship?
We have an exciting opportunity for a 1st year Fitting & Turning/ Maintenance Fitter Apprentice to work with our client who is one of Australasia's leading packaging and paper companies. Based in Launceston, we are looking for a motivated, committed and reliable person who is wanting to gain practical on the job experience, whilst receiving extensive training and a Certificate III Engineering-Mechanical Trade
What will you be doing?
Preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance to achieve optimal operational requirements whilst maintaining safe work practices.
Attending breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner
Plant and machine upgrades
Modification work as well as general facility maintenance
Able to Understand Technical Drawings
Mechanical Fitting
Welding (ARC ,Mig,Oxy & Acetylene Cutting)
Work as a team member
Machining parts
Maintain a clean workplace.
What do you need for this role?
Someone who is a team player, trustworthy and great work ethic
A quick learner
Computer skills
Practical trade skills and/or relevant pre-apprenticeship
Ability to work autonomously and in a team
