About the role

The successful candidate will be well-organised, well-presented, professional and courteous. They will have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work as part of a small and varied team and thrive in an at-times, fast-paced environment.

Working Environment

The Technical and Venue Support Officer will work at Gorman Arts Centre and Ainslie Arts Centre, which are ACT Government-owned arts facilities. The work duties include physical tasks, such as climbing ladders, cleaning and setting up furniture, and lifting bar supplies and stock therefore the position requires a high standard of fitness and mobility.

Terms of Engagement

This position is part-time and ongoing. It is subject to a six month probation period.

Standard hours of work is 25 hours per week, to be worked over five days - Tuesday to Saturday. Exact spread of hours over the five days are negotiable with employer, and may vary from time to time to meet venue and event schedule needs.
