Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) is a modern fire and rescue service that meets the needs of twenty-first century Victoria. Established on 1 July 2020 as part of Victoria's Fire Services Reforms, FRV serves and protects communities across Melbourne and Victoria's major regional centres from 85 FRV fire and rescue stations across the state. Its career firefighters operate 47 fire stations in metropolitan Melbourne and 38 regional stations, most of which are co-located with CFA volunteer brigades. FRV proudly continues to work alongside the Country Fire Authority (CFA), which is a community-based volunteer fire service.

Fire Equipment Services (FES) is the commercial division of FRV, partnering with clients to protect their people and assets via installing, maintaining and training in fire protection systems and essential safety measures. FES is the industry leader in Fire Safety and Emergency Management, and we are known for our technical expertise, responsive service and compliance.

As a key member of the FES Workshops Team, this role provides maintenance services, repairs and delivery of portable fire equipment, including fire extinguishers and fire hoses. Full training is provided.

Key Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for delivery and services of portable fire equipment. Overall, the key areas of responsibility include (but not limited to):

  • Conduct maintenance services on fire extinguishers and fire hoses according to Australian Standards
  • Deliver and collect portable fire equipment
  • Assist Workshop Supervisor and Leading Hands as required
  • Data entry and record keeping for the receipt and dispatch of equipment


  • Valid Victorian Driver license is a must
  • HR license desired
  • Forklift license desired
  • Worked in similar environment or industry
  • Attention to details
  • Excellent communication skills
