SFM Marine – Northport, as one of Western Australia’s premier marine maintenance companies, our services cover lift and launch, boat engineering, fabrication, boat building, painting, antifouling, prop-speed vessel detailing and marine training. SFM Marine has operations in Henderson and Fremantle, Western Australia.

ABOUT THE JOB

Based in North Fremantle, we are seeking an experienced Shipwright to join the team. The primary purpose of this position is to carry out timber and fiberglass repairs and modifications on both sail and powerboats, as well as custom fit-outs.

ABOUT YOU

Previous experience in GRP, fiberglass and timber repair techniques, solid knowledge of vessel construction would be key. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, excellent verbal communication skills, a proactive approach and the ability to work autonomously is essential. A Certificate III in Marine Craft Construction or higher and a current valid drivers’ licence will be required.
