JOB DESCRIPTION

We have a great full-time permanent opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Team Leader.

This is a pivotal role within our Component Rebuild team in our Clayton branch, where you will lead, coach and develop an assigned team of technicians in the workshop. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be the first point of call for our hard-working workshop team. A key objective will be to ensure all KPI’s are achieved and more importantly our customers have a positive experience each time they do business with us.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leadership and day to day supervision, including monitoring performance, delivering required training and conducting performance appraisals
  • Striving to continuously achieve service labour targets with repair and maintenance work
  • Continual liaison with key coordinators and supervisors within the business
  • Managing and maintaining of scheduling systems
  • Driving a safe work environment with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Effectively manage/monitor all work in progress to achieve company benchmarks
  • Leading by example and being an advocate for our core values of Integrity, Commitment, Teamwork, Excellence and Sustainability

ABOUT YOU 

You will be a true leader with a genuine interest in motivating and inspiring a team of professionals.

To be considered for this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Previous supervisory / team leader experience
  • A proven track record of motivating and managing a successful team
  • Being a qualified Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic
  • Ability to think on your feet
  • Highly developed communication skills with a positive manner and attitude
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to tackle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Office
  • A strong commitment to safety, health and environment procedures
