Cavpower Pty Ltd is the Caterpillar dealer for South Australia and Western NSW. For over 45 years, we have been providing equipment and product support services to mining, construction, industrial, marine and local government customers. Our reputation for excellence and superior customer service has enabled us to achieve continued sustained growth.

An opportunity exists for a qualified technician who has proven experience in the mining and/or construction industries to join our Technical Support team. This position has a strong emphasis on providing digital and technology solutions to support our customers' success.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:
Provide technical information & support to customers across a broad range of Caterpillar equipment and technologies;
Undertake technical research where necessary, ensuring the effective and efficient resolution of technical enquiries both internal and external;
Provide technical advice and diagnostic expertise to employees within the Cavpower organisation;
Assist resolve Caterpillar warranty enquiries;
Investigate, conduct failure analysis and provide Applied Failure Analysis reports;
Provide assistance and technical support to the training department for the preparation of training materials on adhoc basis.

Skills and Experience Required:
Heavy Vehicle Trade Qualification;
Familiarity with CAT and dealer systems;
Extensive problem solving experience with the ability to read and understand service manuals, schematics both electrical and hydraulic;
Excellent diagnostic skills;
Analytical with research ability and a strong attention to detail;
High level computer literacy (including network and windows based applications);
Experience with and an understanding of radio telemetry;
Familiarity with GPS and Machine Control technologies;
Strong commitment to meeting customer needs;
Excellent communication both written and verbal;
Current Driver’s Licence.

Applicants are advised that there is a requirement for the position to be on-call on a roster basis and that some inter and intrastate travel may be required at short notice where necessary to provide technical on-site support to customers.
