About the Role

We are eager to engage with people that have completed a mechanical trade (light vehicle, fixed plant, agricultural, fitter machinist type trade) that have a passion & motivation to work in the mining industry. This position is a rare & valuable career opportunity that doesn’t require mining experience.

About You

Reporting to the Ancillary Maintenance Supervisor, you will receive on job training, exposure & experience that will enable an upgrade to your trade using the recognised prior learning process. You will be a high performer in your current field with a history of leadership or autonomy & a willingness to learn & progress your career rapidly.

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
Motivated to learn & work safely
Mechanical trade qualification (light vehicle, fitter machinist, agricultural mechanic, heavy truck mechanic)
Valid Australian C class manual driver’s license (required)
High performer in current mechanical field
Excellent diagnosis skills
Ability to read wiring diagrams/other schematics

Location

You will be based at the Ancillary Maintenance Workshop located at our Central Pilbara (Mining Area C ) Operations on a 2/1 roster (7D/7N/7off) FIFO from Perth. You will work with dedicated & focused employees that proactively approach the challenges they face. The Ancillary team is focused on achieving the goals of our company and serving of our customers needs which predominately is having available and reliable machines to operate in the mine.
