Due to the growth of our company, we are looking for a technician with an electrical or mechanical background who can effectively diagnose service and repair major brands of power tools.

This is a casual position 25-30 hours per week that may lead to a permanent role. Before applying, you must be prepared to work in a small-team with a family-owned business.

Responsibilities include:

• Dismantling and reassembling tools to make a diagnosis and carry out repairs on various cordless and electric power tools.
• Responsible for repairing defective parts and rewiring electrical systems, including soldering or coating wires for proper installation.
• Disassemble tools and use testing devices to identify problems.
• Delivering quality repairs within a timely manner.
• Competent computer skills as you are required to login to brands online portals for ordering spare parts, use of technical manuals, and submitting warranty claims.
• Booking tools in our job system.
• Ability to maintain stock of parts.
• Freight in - Deliveries from freight companies from external customers and suppliers.
• Freight Out - Packaging/boxing up completed jobs for freight despatch.
• Maintaining overall cleanness of workshop and surrounding areas.
• Must be willing to help beyond core duties as everyone within the business is considered a key member of the company.

Skills & Experience required.

• A strong technical aptitude with problem solving skills.
• Experience in a similar position or in the product repair industry preferred but not limited.
• Excellent personal presentation and time management skills.
• Ability to work to timelines and meet deadlines.
• Administration skills and computer knowledge.
• Current Drivers Licence.
