SENIOR HYDRAULIC TECHNICIAN/FITTER
About the role
Our continued growth offers opportunities for experienced Hydraulic Technicians/Fitters to work in a hydraulic engineering environment in Queanbeyan NSW, AUSTRALIA.
On offer is variety and unique and interesting projects. This role is ideally suited to an individual who thrives on technical challenges. As an enthusiastic, and highly productive and reliable team member, some of your key duties will include:

Maintenance & repair work on a broad range of fixed & mobile hydraulic equipment;

Carry out general machining and/or mechanical bench work;
-
Repair/refurbish hydraulic cylinders;
-
Reading & interpreting schematic diagrams to effectively troubleshoot problems on a wide range of industrial equipment;
-
Use test equipment to methodically isolate and diagnose faults including: closed loop, open loop; pressure comp, load sensed, hydraulic & electronic proportional control;
-
Installation & commissioning of hydraulic systems;
-
Fit-up, programming & servicing of the World's No.1 crane brand;
-
Carry out routine service & safety inspections on mobile equipment;

Accurately complete reports & documentation

Skills and experience
-
Demonstrate a high level of engineering & hydraulic technical knowledge with confidence to work independently;
-
Minimum Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade or similar;
-
Hands-on experience in engineering/machine shop functions;
-
Post trade Fluid Power qualifications with the ability to read & apply hydraulic schematics;
-
Experience in the fundamentals of maintenance practices & high level of fault-finding skills;
-
Strong work ethic & pride in workmanship
-
Drivers licence & own transport
