Full Job Description
Based in the beautiful and pristine northern region of Tasmania, a rare career opportunity exists for an experienced maintenance professional to join the team at our Railton site.

Reporting to the Maintenance Services Manager, as our Maintenance Planner you will coordinate and plan maintenance activities and provide technical input to ensure high plant availability within budget. You will be part of a small team involved in planning and scope of works for the regular week to week as well as maintenance days, major and minor shutdowns and occasional corrective action activities.

About the role:
As a Maintenance Planner at our Railton site you will:
Provide planning and scheduling for Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance teams to ensure equipment is inspected and maintained to an appropriate level
Chair meetings & liaise with Production, Services and Maintenance team leaders to identify efficient and effective scheduling requirements
Optimise equipment maintenance strategies and maintain the maintenance system (SAP) by reviewing, analysing and improving master data
Create work orders from notifications, determining prioritisation and adding required planning information
Maintain SAP for maintenance activities and related inventory/spares control
Work with the Reliability team to ensure lessons learned from equipment failures are captured and SAP processes are updated
Provide an essential role in shutdown planning - monitor and control planning activities through all phases of the shutdown lifecycle
Analyse the detailed shutdown plans to identify potential conflicts and deviations and propose solutions to optimise the overall shutdown schedule
Work with stakeholders to develop work scope, delivery plans and cost forecasts to ensure safe, timely and cost effective completion of major shutdown works
Ensure monthly maintenance spend remains on budget and prepare cost reporting with projected maintenance requirements
Develop tender documents including Scope of Works and play a key role in the tender evaluation process.

About you:
To be considered for the role you will have:
A passion for and committed approach to safety as a way of life
Proven success in a maintenance planning role within a heavy industrial, manufacturing or mining environment
Full understanding of the fundamentals of maintenance systems and processes
SAP experience (preferred)
Site shutdown experience for maintenance
Team player with ability to influence and negotiate both onsite and remotely
Initiative and can-do attitude
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders
Project Management/Maintenance Planner qualification with Engineering degree or advanced trade qualifications (desirable)
