The Queensland Government Agent Program (QGAP) is a Government initiative designed to provide rural communities with equitable access to public sector services.

The occupant of the position will act as the Queensland Government Agent at the above location and provide services for agencies the Queensland Police Service has agreed to represent.

Qualification as a Justice of the Peace (Qualified), or the ability, and eligibility, to become a Justice of the Peace (Qualified).


Ensure that the lead agency's obligations with regard to service agreements are complied with and that high standards of client satisfaction are achieved.

Ensure that public enquiries about State Government services and requests for information are undertaken efficiently, and that all relevant administrative procedures are complied with, particularly those concerning the collection of monies.

Ensure that QGAP and the services provided are actively and extensively promoted within the community.

Maintain records of the value and volume of services provided, and produce regular written reports on services provided and other matters relating to the operation and evaluation of the project.

Ensure that all confidential matters and monies collected are treated with due regard for confidentiality and security, and that all auditing requirements are complied with.

Exercise the powers of a Justice of the Peace (Qualified).

Perform duties on behalf of the Queensland Police Service as the lead Department, and for other Departments and Agencies that have entered into a service agreement with the Queensland Government Agent Program, through CountryNe
