BLC is a residential and commercial landscaping company operating in Brisbane and surrounds, undertaking all kinds of landscaping projects and completing them to an extremely high standard. We are a hard working team and welcome anyone willing to show enthusiasm and care for the job they do.

Qualifications & experience

• We would prefer our maintenance person / groundskeeper to have previous experience as a leading hand or head groundskeeper; but you must at least have a few years experience operating a ride-on mower, as well as a whipper snipper, edger and blower etc.
• An MR licence would be preferred, as well as experience towing a trailer so you are able to operate and safely move all of the maintenance equipment.
• Related licences and qualifications also desirable, such as: Chemical licence, first aid certificate, horticulture, gardening or landscaping certificates etc.
• Common sense and safety awareness is extremely important as you will be working on commercial sites with both the public and commercial contractors, which includes heavy machinery.

Tasks & responsibilities

• All grounds keeping and maintenance duties including:
• Mowing, Edging, Hedge trimming, Blowing, Tidying, Mulching and Weeding.
• You may also be required to undertake other general garden and landscaping tasks including:
• Soil spreading, Painting and Planting.
• The successful applicant will be working on commercial sites keeping the grounds, parks and sites well maintained and presentable.
• You will be supplied with a maintenance vehicle and trailer with all equipment required. It will be your responsibility to keep the vehicles and equipment clean, tidy and well looked after.
• You may occasionally be required to help the landscaping teams with additional tasks which may require manual labour.
• Must be hardworking and have an eye for detail.

Benefits

• The successful applicant will be paid between $26 and $30 per hour depending on level of experience and qualifications.
