For many years the friendly staff at South Yarra Volkswagen have been selling and servicing new and used vehicles in Melbourne. We are currently seeking to hire a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our modern workshop service department in Richmond.

The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Proven experience as an Automotive Technician
• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical components to diagnose issues accurately
• Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
• Extensive experience in repairs and maintenance in line with the manufacturer’s requirements for all makes and models
• The ability to perform scheduled maintenance servicing
• The capacity to service and repair vehicles as per the repair order within the allocated time
• Good verbal and written communications skills
• Excellent diagnostics capabilities
• Be responsible for the care and use of all workshop tools and equipment -maintain workbench and bay areas in a clean, orderly state

Skills & Abilities:

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in relevant field

Salary range is $50,000 - $60,000 commensurate with experience

Hours: fulltime
