Study drawings and work instructions to determine suitable parts, method and sequence of operations and machine settings
Check a component for manufacturing defects or use specialized tools like callipers to ensure that parts fit together as expected.
Support fabrication teams by inspecting individual components throughout the assembly process
Check connections and measure electrical resistance to ensure that everything works as intended
Fitting metal and electrical parts into products and assembling metal parts and sub-assemblies involving mainly rotor assembly, wiring preparation to produce complete assemble motors and VSD.
Checking metal and electrical parts for accuracy, clearance (internal and external) and fit using precision measuring instruments - demonstrating ability to read and measure using micrometers.
Setting guides, stops and other controls on machining tools and presses.
Demonstrate basic machining abilities for fitting requirements.
Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts
Use manufacturing equipment or hand tools to make small repairs before incorporating the components into a device
Ability to read electrical schematic diagrams and technical specification / work instructions to fit and assemble motors and VSD
Install / commission machines and equipment on-site, as required
Cleaning requirements associated with assembly works
Some gearbox assembly, spray painting and packaging may also be required
